TA Cafe Third Fridays

October 15, 2021 @ 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Join us to talk about:

  1. Who are we:  Come share who you are and what your plans are for the fall.
  2. Deep dive into the TAMA’s Website:  How might we use it to build our individual careers and expand our collective profession!  Each Cafe we will provide insights and tutorials on how the website help us support, empower and advocate for TAs.
  3. Business Skills for Artists:  Check out this resource and join us to move through our TA centered business series.  Let’s build sustainable careers together!
  4. Advocacy:  It wouldn’t be the TA Cafe if we didn’t talk ADVOCACY!  It’s time to read a book together.  We will slowly move through Emergent Strategy: Shaping Change, Changing Worlds by adrienne maree brown.  The title itself is a conversation!

Ready, set, RSVP!

Shout out to @khaleshia Thorpe-Price who reminded me that it’s the Year of the Teaching Artist!

Request Help

Have a question or need help with something specific on our website? Fill out the form below and your request will be routed to the correct TAMA leader.

This form routes member questions to different emails based on their needs.

NEXT MEETING: January 13, 2023 at 8pm.

Know of an event we should include?

Thanks for completing your profile!

One of the challenges of our profession is that there is very little data about who we are, what we do and where we are working. Without a documentable presence, it’s difficult to advocate for funding and policies that benefit our work. Your profile will both help promote your work individually and it will help us aggregate data for our region. As you fill in the blanks below, you will have a choice as to who is allowed to see some of the information. Please note that the “Just Me” option does allow TAMA administration to see what you’ve entered. For example, when you enter your phone number, you can prevent that from appearing in your profile if you like, but TAMA administration can see it.
